SciExcite was given a unique opportunity by Dr. Jennifer Bernstein last Saturday, when she invited us to entertain her daughter and 5 of her friends! That's right! We were invited to a play date, and we made sure that all the kids had an amazing time!
This was a super fun group to work with, and they had a great sense of humor as well. We did many of our usual experiments, and we even brought out a new one that we've been waiting to unveil for a long time!
MaKey MaKey is a device that uses circuits to turn every day objects into piano keys, game controls, and so much more! We've tried many different MaKey MaKey techniques at our SciExcite headquarters, and we decided it would be super fun to make a banana piano with the kids! Each banana piece was attached to the circuit, and represented a note on the keyboard, and our end result? We nailed Twinkle Twinkle Little Star! It was so much fun playing around with this, and we hope to bring it to many more of our presentations in the future!
Check out the video of our awesome musicians below!
Thanks so much again Dr. Bernstein! We are so grateful for this opportunity!
